Vestry Minutes October 9,2014
I. Prayer opened at 7pm by Father Tom
II. Devotion, Judy Rickenbacker, read from “How to Know God”
III. Approval of minutes moved by R. Shingler, second by J. Dufresne, all aye
IV. Treasurer’s Report by Father Tom, new format using ‘Church Windows’ program, moved by M. Drum, second by R. Lupton, all aye. Requested to get the new tax bill from the Assessor’s office to begin the grievance process for the Parish House property.
V. Old Business
a. Morning Prayer
i. November 9, Clay Young, requested to try to get M. Hub back for this date
ii. Connie previous Saturdays, with M. Drum and R. Lupton
b. Golf outing scheduled for November 1
c. Parish House Tea Room status, motion ‘write a letter to Linda and Mike Carroll stating that if all bills are not paid by Dec. 31, 2014 then their lease is terminated’, moved by M. Drum, second by R. Shingler, six ayes and two abstentions
d. Budget committee; Marli will form a committee to prepare the budget
e. Jerry Dufresne- roof quotes, two in, looking for a third
f. Clergy retreat, Oct 27-29
VI. New Business
a. Rector’s compensation, approved for part time work
b. Vestry nominees, Janice Brady has agreed to serve and we need two others
c. November vestry date change to the 21th
d. Annual meeting date, December 7
e. New Treasurer election, possible candidates are Fred Lupton and Richard Drum
