The Church of the Epiphany Annual Meeting December 4, 2011
The meeting opened at 11:00am with prayer and a quorum present.
The reports from the standing committees were received and distributed to all in attendance.
The first order of business was the election of the vestry. Due to the extraordinary circumstances of the transition last year we needed to elect 4 people to the vestry rather than the normal three. On a suggestion from our secretary, it was determined to elect people according to number of votes received for each person. The people then voted for the four nominees with a number, 1-4, with the most number 1’s being the first elected, then the number 2’s and so on. The last position filled was for a two year term that would complete our normal rotation. Those elected to the three year term were, Chester Field, Jerry Dufresne, and Connie Barnes. Rita Lupton was elected to the two year term. There were no nominations from the floor.
The second order of business was the election of the delegates to the Diocesan convention, where Chester Field and Mary Warner were nominated, as they had been the alternates last year. The alternates for this year are John Vergere and Gene Scarborough. The vote was by acclamation in favor of this slate.
The budget that was approved by the Vestry was presented to the congregation as part of the Treasurer’s report.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 12 noon.
Respectfully submitted,
Thomas J. Hendrickson
Rector
